Dr. Martin Gillman has served as the Director of the chiropractic department since 1999, helping patients function at their highest level and maintain good health. With over 17 years of practice experience, he is a member in good standing of the American Chiropractic Association. Before joining NYMDC, Dr. Gillman practiced at a dedicated chiropractic center in Massapequa.
Dr. Gillman graduated cum laude with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West and previously served as a Review Course Instructor for the Chiropractic National Board Examination. He enjoys taking the time to get to know patients and help them improve their overall health.
Dr. Phillip Klein has been in private practice for well over 20 years. In that time he has helped thousands of satisfied patients. Dr. Klein is a 1990 graduate of Life Chiropractic College where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree. As a teenager, Dr. Klein had debilitating migraine headaches, and a chiropractor helped eliminate migraines. This turn of events began a lifelong pursuit of natural wellness, a vitalized lifestyle, and ultimately the desire to begin his pre chiropractic studies. Dr. Klein is married, and has 4 children. My personal interests include exercise (Dr. Klein is a former 1984 winner of the NPC Mr. Teenage New York) bike riding, bike-a-thons, cooking, and piano playing. “I love music, and recently, I joined my first rock band.

Dr. Appasaheb Naik is a highly accomplished and dedicated surgeon committed to serving the healthcare needs of the Kew Gardens, NY community. His impressive medical journey began at Government Medical College Miraj, where he earned his esteemed medical degree. Dr. Naik’s pursuit of excellence led him to complete a rigorous and comprehensive residency in general surgery at the esteemed Saint Vincent Hospital.

Dr. Louis Guillaume is a foreign medical graduate who specialized in general orthopedics and sports medicine. He has worked more than a decade at NYMDC. He earned his medical degree at faculty de medicine of Haiti and completed his orthopedic residency at the state hospital oh Haiti along with a fellowship degree in general orthopedics and pediatrics at cochin hospital and St Vincent de Paul in Paris. He also completed a sports medicine fellowship education with minimally invasive procedures, arthroscopy at the Hospital for joint diseases NYU. After more than a decade of practice in his country of origin as an orthopedic and arthroscopic surgeon, he relocated in New York state where he practices orthopedics and pain management procedures as a licensed specialist assistant in orthopedics at NYMDC.
He has developed remarkable interest in treating pain with procedures under images and needle guidance. With more than 30 years of practice in the orthopedic field, he uses his experience to expand along with other providers the field of breakthrough treatment with regenerative sciences and the use of mesenchymal stem cell therapy and other modalities for growing and regeneration of tissues at New York Medical and Diagnostic Center.
Dr. Sharaara Rahman, DPM, MS is a board qualified foot and ankle surgeon who completed her surgical residency training at Lenox Hill Hospital – Northwell Health. During residency she served as Chief Resident, obtained additional credentialing in reconstructive surgery, and earned a certificate in Healthcare Management from Yale University. Dr. Shar received her undergraduate degree from SUNY Binghamton, where she majored in Biology.
At Binghamton, Dr. Shar was a Ronald E. McNair Scholar, received the Dale B. Terry Memorial Foundation Award, and published her Honors Thesis with both the Biology and Chemistry Departments. Following undergraduate studies, she pursued a Master of Science from The University of Houston- Clear Lake, where she majored in biology and published cancer related research in the Journal of Analytical Chemistry and the Journal of Biomedicine. She then went on to attend the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she completed her doctorate and received the Class of 2020 Susheel Bhatla Award. In addition to her passion in Medicine, she is also very involved with her community. She presently is an Anchor for a health show on IBTV USA called “Health and Happiness”, that serves to educate the South Asian community in health and medicine. She is also a mentor for a Non-profit organization called Children of 1971.
She loves volunteering and helping others and can speak four languages: Bangla, Urdu, Hindi and English. Dr. Shar loves fashion, traveling to different countries and spending time with her two daughters, family and friends. Dr. Shar has a particular interest in cosmetic surgery of the foot, Sports Medicine related pathologies, and reconstructive forefoot surgeries. Her goal is to make innovative advancements in Podiatric Medicine in the future.
Dr. Eric Berkowitz is a distinguished interventional radiologist. Dr. Berkowitz delivers precise, targeted care with minimal recovery time. Patient safety and comfort are his top priorities, guiding his commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care. Dr. Berkowitz earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University. He completed an internal medicine internship program at Maimonides Medical Center, a diagnostic radiology residency at Nassau University Medical Center, and a vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. He is certified in interventional radiology/diagnostic radiology (IR/DR) by the American Board of Radiology and is dedicated to advancing his skills to achieve the best patient outcomes.
Naiyara received a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master degree in Economics from Dhaka University in Bangladesh. She then completed a Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Certificate from Sanford Brown Institute in New York, New York.
Naiyara is an experienced Ultrasound Technologist who has worked in both private practice and hospital settings performing abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, vascular and adult echo exams. She is also CPR certified.
Daniel Billings, a nurse practitioner in the Forest Hills neighborhood of New York City, is passionate about what he does. Daniel graduated with a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Columbia University School of Nursing. He then earned a master of science degree as an adult-gerontology nurse practitioner with an oncology subspecialty. Additionally, he holds a doctorate in nursing practice from the Columbia University School of Nursing. Prior to joining New York Blood and Cancer Centers, he provided hematologic care at Columbia University's Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center. Most recently, he served as an Infectious Disease advanced practice provider at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City.
